A Proven Solution to Indoor Air Quality, HVAC Cost

The impact on buildings. Globally, outdoor air quality is deteriorating due to pollution from traffic, construction, agricultural activity, combusting sources and particulate matter. Because ambient air diffuses easily, even distant sources of pollution have a huge impact on the more than 15,000 liters of air we breath every day.

Indoor air quality can be degraded by these outdoor sources, as well as by off-gassing from building materials, indoor combustion sources and water leaks. Poor ventilation practices can fail to address these sources, exposing us to volatile organic compounds (VOC's), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH's) and microbial pathogens. Another way in which indoor air quality may be diminished is via surfaces, which can accumulate airborne germs. In addition, other contributors include second hand smoke along with the smoke created by the ongoing number of wildfires in the western United States.

All of these contaminants contribute to a range of negative health outcomes such as asthma, allergies and other upper respiratory illnesses. In addition, air quality issues can diminish work productivity and lead to sick building syndrome (SBS) where no disease or cause can be identified, yet acute health effects are linked to time spent in a building. SBS symptoms include various nonspecific symptoms such as eye, skin and airway irritation, as well as headache and fatigue.

A proven solution to Indoor Air Quality. Given this, Gabbard Energy Group has partnered with AtmosAir Solutions to offer a proven indoor air purification system that can be used in any type of facility including Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Schools, Casinos, Hospitality, Sports Facilities, Airports, Marine, Convention Centers, Grocery Stores, Government, Performing Arts along with any residential home.

AtmosAir Solutions proven air purification technology acts as a continuous disinfectant, actively reducing a wide range of airborne and surface contaminants such as VOC's, viruses, bacteria and germs. It helps eliminate odors while also reducing dust (particulate), mold, mildew, and allergens.

Many specific benefits result from this technology including: improved productivity, reduces absenteeism by reducing mold, bacteria, viruses , germs, through Virus Filtration; up to a 95% reduction of ultrafine particulate matter (PM) and; odor control with up to 90% of tVOC's being reduced, broken down.

Real-time, accurate air monitoring...tracking and measuring the health and wellness of the built environment. AtmosAir provides real-time monitoring of CO2, PM2.5 (particulate), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) among other IAQ parameters.

Energy Benefits. AtmosAir Solutions allows a building to invest in a solution that shaves peak load energy. Our technology creates an opportunity for the building to reduce significant energy consumption, MERV filtration efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. In both new design and retrofit projects, AtmosAir allows for up to a 50% reduction in outside air using the ASHRE 62.1 Inddor Air Quality Procedure or IMC ventilation rate exception. Compressors as well as the supply and OA fans cycle less, reducing the heating/cooling load and generating anywhere from a 4-8% savings on a buildings total utility bill. The rule of thumb for a retrofit AtmosAir project is $0.12-$0.18 per square foot in energy savings.
